Welp Wednesdays: Delaware Passes!

Let's be honest. Night 1 of the Democratic National Convention (DNC) was an absolute snoozefest. Although there were some highlights (e.g. Eva Longoria and Michelle Obama), the evening was overall a tad dry.

Still, we have to shout out the DNC's production team for successfully putting together a completely virtual experience. We're sure this is no easy task and takes a lot of hard work and coordination.

Luckily, night 2 of the DNC was muuuuch better. Some of our favorite moments were:

1) Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (AOC) giving a short speech to endorse Bernie Sanders

AOC's speech was highly anticipated last night. That's why people were disappointed when it was only 60 seconds long and concluded with her endorsement of Bernie Sanders.

Business Insider: Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez goes after NBC News

Although AOC's endorsement was nothing but standard procedure, it has now caused all the drama.

2) Delaware passing during the DNC roll call

Although this is also standard procedure for the nominee's (i.e. Biden's) home state, it still created a lot of hilarious confusion among viewers.

3) Joe Biden's pearly whites

Honestly, people hate on Biden's age, but there's no denying those blinders. ha!

4) Jill Biden's spotlight

Compared to Melania Trump, Jill Biden is a breath of fresh air. Nothing against Melania, but Jill exudes a level of warmth that we'd love to see in a First Lady.

Last night's depiction of Jill as a hard-working and loving mother was a winner. It probably reminded many people why Joe could be a solid nominee, even if you have issues with his past politics and recent gaffes (and there are a lot of gaffes...).

CBS: Jill Biden is confident Joe Biden will win presidential election.

If you fell into the "Welp, I guess we got Biden" category, then hopefully you feel a little better now. :)
