Welp Wednesdays: Biden Picks Kamala

It's time for "Welp Wednesdays!" This is our Wednesday dose of the news that makes us go "Welp."

To kick off, you've probably heard yesterday that U.S. Presidential candidate, Joe Biden, selected Kamala Harris as his Vice President running mate.

History shows running mates don't help much. But Kamala Harris could be different.

Twitter had a field day with the announcement. While some folks were excited to have the first Black/Asian-American woman candidate, others were underwhelmed with the choice. 

During the 2020 Democrat Party presidential primaries, Kamala received backlash for her prosecutorial record (we can't forget when Tulsi Gabbard obliterated her on the debate stage) as well as her pandering to minority groups, including the Black community. Many saw her "evolving" political beliefs on different issues like marijuana as convenient and disingenuous. 

No matter what you think about Kamala, the decision is final. Now, it's time to read through the large amount of opinion pieces in the media. I'm sure they'll be glorious just like these Twitter memes...
